Apple iPad not getting 3G on T-Mobile
Listen up T-Mobile customers of San Francisco, this will not be music to your ears.
By now you have heard that the iPad is going to be shipped unlocked. That`s absolutely phenomenal. You might have also heard about how the device isn`t going to have a contract. That`s even better than phenomenal.

You're going to be without 3G if you want to use T-Mobile.
And, you might have also heard there are two versions of the iPad coming out, one style equipped with 3G and one that only possess Wi-Fi. Well, AT&T and Apple have a special partnership as far as the iPad goes, with a plan for 250MB a month for $14.99 or unlimited date for $29.99. That of course for the 3G model.
If you`re going the AT&T route, that`s really a no brainer. Go unlimited.
The problem with T-Mobile is that there isn`t going to be a 3G route. It`s because Apple`s device is compatible with four different frequencies including 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz. T-Mobile`s 3G service runs on 1700 Mhrz, so that option goes out the window.
Of course, you`ll still be able to get EDGE but with a device this media heavy, you`re going to want 3G and not EDGE.
See what I mean?
So you`re stuck with another service provider and if that service provider is AT&T and you`re here in the city, it might mean you don`t purchase an iPad with 3G.
Why?
Well, to save yourself from the inevitable headaches of course.
